Our Story

Forest Ventures was founded by Cliff Siaw, a Sarawakian Climate Advocate and Project Developer for Energy Transition, who has been actively working on decarbonization through solar energy. While exploring different avenues for reducing carbon emissions, Cliff discovered the potential of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) and the use of carbon credits to finance forest conservation and restoration projects while supporting local communities.

Driven by the urgent need to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels and achieve Net Zero targets by 2050, Forest Ventures recognized the pivotal role that nature-based solutions play in carbon emission avoidance and removal. This realization became the catalyst for the establishment of the company.

Forest Ventures was born out of a shared passion for nature and a deep concern for the environmental challenges our world faces. Witnessing the alarming rate of deforestation and the escalating climate crisis, our founders were inspired to create a company dedicated to developing and implementing Nature-Based Solutions and promoting sustainable development.

From the beginning, Forest Ventures has been committed to combating deforestation, protecting ecosystems, and reducing carbon emissions.
